3/8 Providence    Relative Souls are opening for the Brooklyn based funk band TURKUAZ at The Spot Underground.  We open at 9:30 and Turkuaz hits at 10:30.  You do not want to be late for Friday night Funk.

3/14 Bridgeport    Relative Souls are returning to Acoustic Café.  Joining us are our friends from VT, FLABBERGHASTER opens the show at 9 and we hit at 10:45

Arch Street Tavern w/ Isaac Young Quartet

Hartford’s Legendary Arch Street Tavern

On Thursday February 28 your Relative Souls are gonna be packing up the van and hitting the road to join forces with the Issac Young Quartet in Hartford, CT.  This show is going to be one for the books — two heavy hitting sets.  We’ll be at the legendary Arch Street Tavern and can’t wait to see our fans getting funky again!

Isaac Young bridges the gap between jazz and rock idioms, blending the tradition of Charlie Parker to The Beatles into his own unique sound. Young’s compositions have a broad appeal to both jazz aficionados and the casual listeners, with twisting melodic lines over complex harmonies.

Without question this is our biggest show of the month, and Hartford’s biggest music event of the weekend!! We have been spending a lot of time in the studio cultivating some amazing tracks and we are full of positive momentum.  Come on out and support your favorite Souls of funk.

Well 2013 is starting off right. We’d like to welcome our manager Evan Rapp and his team at Altamira Marketing Consultants and booking Agent Suman Mitra of Village Music in NYC.

We have been hard at work on our album which has finally left Mac’s house and went back to the studio for vocals and mixing. Sounds sick! In the meantime, we’ll be releasing a live EP: ON THE SPOT containing 4 tracks from our show in Providence on August 18, 2012 with Twiddle as well as two tracks from a live show back in December 2011 at the Acoustic Cafe. These EPs will be available for free shortly at any Relative Souls show, or you can download them for free by visiting us on Reverbnation.

Staring to line up some festivals for the spring and summer months and playing with some great artists along the way.  We’ll keep you posted!
