Can’t say enough good things about our shows in February! The Family Jam at the Acoustic with Jen Durkin, Funky Dawgz Mike Marsters and Tommy Weeks, John Britto, and Mojo’s Eric Lindahl was a ton of fun. We are so grateful to be a part the musical community of Black Rock and cannot wait to collaborate more in the future!
And playing to a full house at Garcia’s after the North Mississippi Allstars rocked the Capitol was even better than we could have asked for. People were dancing, grooving hard, bringing the kind of passion for music that we love to see!
Coming up in March, warm up from the snow with us every Tuesday at BRYAC. We will be the host band for The Road to The Resort, a battle of the bands for the Rock and Roll Resort Festival. After a short set from the Souls, you’ll get to hear multiple bands battling for a slot at this year’s festival. Definitely check out Rock and Roll resort, with bands like Fishbone, Twiddle, Easy Star All Stars, and of course, Relative Souls!
Stay hot, funky people!
Some photos from the our Toad’s Place show this past weekend, courtesy of Matt Vallo! Big thanks to Cosmic Dust Bunnies for having us, to SETI Project and Mushroom Cloud doing their thing, Alex Swift for filling in on bass with short notice, and especially to the amazing crowd that brought a ton of energy to the show!
Next up, another AbbaInvasion on Friday, February 20th at Strangebrew Pub in Norwich, with the William Thompson Funk Experiment. Click here for the event page!
Then, Keep It In The Family at The Acoustic Cafe in Bridgeport on Saturday, February 21st. Mojo, Funky Dawgz and Jen Durkin will be combining forces for a horn filled family set, featuring music from Sly Stone, the Isley Brothers, the Neville Brothers, even the Jacksons. What?
